The stay was quite disappointing. While the location near Algonquin Park is fantastic, offering great access to the outdoors, the state of the accommodation left much to be desired. The rooms, though spacious, were outdated and had a musty smell. The amenities advertised, like canoes, were not available as expected, and overall cleanliness was lacking. The dining options were very limited, and the service was not up to standard. It certainly didn't feel like the getaway we had hoped for.

The room was spacious and had a newly renovated bathroom, but overall felt dated with a musty smell. The cleanliness was questionable, and I would definitely recommend checking for any issues before settling in.
Service

I found the service lacking, as many advertised amenities were either not available or in disrepair. Getting proper responses to my concerns felt frustrating.

Our stay at Algonquin Lakeside Inn Motel was a mixed bag. While the location next to the west gate of Algonquin Park is certainly convenient for outdoor enthusiasts, we found the motel itself to be quite rundown. The room we stayed in was somewhat newly renovated, but the lack of amenities and the overall condition of the property left us disappointed.

The accommodation was decent for a last-minute stay, clean enough but overall there were many issues. While the location is perfect for accessing snowmobile trails and the surrounding scenery is stunning with fall colors, the property itself has seen better days. The room was small and felt tired, and the amenities were lacking. However, they were accommodating when needed, which was appreciated.

Rooms

The room was small but clean and well-done, though it felt tired. The lack of basic amenities like a fridge was a letdown.
Service

Service was acceptable, though there were hiccups like the TV not being connected properly. The manager did show effort to solve issues.

Dining

Dining options were very basic and not impressive, they served what felt like reheated or poorly prepared meals.
Facilities

Facilities were lacking and in need of repair. Grounds needed tidying up and the overall condition felt run down.

The hotel provided a decent stay overall, with a friendly owner who was willing to accommodate our late arrival and even upgraded our room. However, I found the wifi connection unreliable during our visit, and I think the price is higher than what you might expect for the amenities offered. Despite these cons, it had a lovely view and a comfortable atmosphere that made for a pleasant experience.

Rooms
8.0
The room was clean and comfortable, featuring a beautiful view of the lake. I especially appreciated the upgrade to a room with a Jacuzzi, but the decor felt a bit dated.
Service

The owner was very accommodating and helpful during our stay, making us feel welcome and ensuring we were comfortable.
Location
8.0
The location was quite nice, offering a fantastic view of the lake and proximity to outdoor activities, although it wasn't very quiet at night.
Dining

Breakfast could use some improvement, as options were limited and not very memorable. It wasn't a highlight of our stay.
Facilities
6.0
The motel had basic facilities, suitable for the price, but nothing particularly luxurious or modern.

My stay here was a mixed bag. On one hand, the location is beautiful, right by the lake, and the room had some nice upgrades like a jacuzzi tub. However, the overall state of the property was concerning with maintenance issues and promises not kept by management. The value for money just isn't there, especially considering the state of the facilities and lack of dining options.

Rooms
7.0
My room was clean and had some upgrades, including a jacuzzi tub, but it felt dark and not quite what I expected.
Service
5.0
The service was lacking; management promised fixes that never happened, and I felt unheard.
Location
9.0
The location by the lake is stunning, and it's conveniently close to Algonquin Park, which is a huge plus.
Dining
5.0
Dining options were nonexistent during my stay, and I had to prepare my own meals, which was a disappointment.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities are in dire need of maintenance and the lack of available amenities like canoes was frustrating.
